It is possible for you to sponsor your spouse and de facto spouse, fiancé(e), interdependent partner, dependent children, adopted children, parents, carer, orphaned relative, aged dependent relative or your last remaining relative in your country of origin.
“A relative is a person who is a spouse, parent, child (including adopted child), brother, sister, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, grandchild or grandparent of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen”. Step-relatives are included in the definition.
