Anyone can apply to study in Australia under the Australian government overseas student program (OSP – also called the Overseas Student Visa Program). Generally, persons wishing to participate in the program must obtain a Student visa before commencing a course of study in Australia. Overseas students can only study at accredited and registered institutions. All registered courses are full time and students must be accepted for enrolment by their chosen institution.

Applicants must have sufficient funds to cover all expenses during their stay in Australia. This includes school fees, travel expenses and normal day to day living.

A certain level of English proficiency is required. Some student visa applicants will need to give evidence of having achieved a certain result in an approved English language test, the usual acceptable test is the International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS) test.

Student Visas allow the applicants to study and work 20 hours per week while course is in session. An established migration pathway allows students to change to General Skilled Migration onshore. The OSP provides for certain family unit members to accompany a student to, or join that student in, Australia. Please contact us for more details.
